I started my E-Marketing class today. It was definitely a different experience compared to my classes at Tech!! My teacher, Nicola, is Italian and actually speaks better English than most of my Tech professors. HAHA!!! He is really nice and seems to be a good teacher and knows the subject really well. He actually owns his own consulting business and just teaches on the side. There are only 5 people in my class, including myself; which is really odd compared to my classes at TTU with 150 plus students.
Other than go to class, we didn’t really do much else today. We just wondered around and got to know the area. We are located in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, which is considered to be one of the most “posh” areas of London. There are a lot pretty cute shops here and I’m afraid Charmaine has gone slightly berserk! We actually found a store called “JK MAXX” which apparently is the British version of our TJ MAXX. We also got ourselves GO Phones so we can communicate with each other and plan where to meet after classes and such. Also, while we were out exploring we saw a chinese man walking two shih tzu that just so happened to look exactly like Mackenzie and Sadie. At first glance, I wondered why that strange man had my dogs and was about to go over, but then I realized they weren't actually my dogs. It was strange to see the British version of my pups, but mine are still cuter...
There is so much to do here and we’re trying to cram as much as possible in our 3 week time frame. Besides all the tourist sightseeing adventures, we’ve scheduled to see Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, and Swan Lake. We might also try to see another Broadway play like Lion King or Les Miserables, but that depends on how much time we have and how much we’re willing to pay. We are also going to take one day excursions with AIFS to Brighton, Stratford, Stonehenge and Salisbury. I thought 3 weeks would be plenty of time to see and do everything, but there is SO much history and culture here I’m starting to think there is no possible way to see and do everything!!!! We might have to plan another trip back. Haha!
Here are some pictures of the Underground (or Tube):
